A big Thank You to all of this year's dynamic Women in STEM speakers who had great information and advice for our students. The series concludes on Feb. 5th with Uma Lakshman who works as a Civil Engineer with a focus on Highway Design.
The Women in STEM Speaker Series brings dynamic young women working in the fields of the future to public girls’ schools across the country. These amazing women come from groups underrepresented in STEM: women of color, first-generation college graduates, immigrants and individuals from low-income families. As a result, their stories of overcoming barriers to achieve an enriching STEM career are all the more informative and compelling. The message is clear: “if I can do it, you can do it too.”
